​WIT ladies football team made it two wins from two outings in the Lynch Cup last night in Carriganore as they defeated Cork IT on a 4-7 to 1-13 score line.

WIT lead 2-5 to 0-6 at the interval with goals coming from Aleisha Cullen and Laura Fitzgerald.

Crucially WIT grabbed two goals in the second half also as Aleisha Cullen hit her second of the game and her Wexford team mate Katie Redmond hit the fourth goal for WIT. Cork IT threw everything at WIT in the closing stages but WIT held out for a fine win.

WIT will play UL in their final game next Wednesday night at 6.15pm in UL and a win for the WIT side will guarantee top spot in the group and qualification for the semi finals.
